12-03-10 - Updated Gov. Fees! - The Obama Company has struck again. See the new Gov. fee increases and tell me they aren't increased taxes (hidden). We knew this was coming, but not the amounts or effective dates. They slipped it in over Thanksgiving while we were at our family reunion. Sneeky &*#%$@, aren't they?

10-24-10 - Good-bye K-3 and K-4 visa - New "policy" by State Dept. Ya gotta read this. What we really need is a Constitution! By the way, why did Al Gore buy a beach house in California if the ocean is going to rise 22 feet like he's claimed?

10-10-10 - NOW - DS-160 NOT required !! - Got memo from State Dept. addressed to all Consulates, DS-160 not to be used! Apparently someone discovered you had to have a Phd. in Internet Technowlogy in order to fill it out.

06-08-10 - NEW DS-160 requirement - Discussed by email only with paid clients. No Phone discussion on this issue. We have too much invested in the program to give it away to the non-client public. May be needed for visa interview.

06-08-10 - THE OLD 2009 Poverty Guidlines still not changed. - There's an election coming up in Nov. and they probably won't change.

11-24-08 - VACATION - Nov. 24 through Nov. 30. - Our office will be closed through this period. We will resume normal operations immediately after.

07-12-08 - Email address CHANGE - Google screwed up their Gmail system so we had to make an immediate email address change. If you're a present client, login and see the new address. If not, then send us an email from "Contact Us."

12-10-07 - MAJOR USCIS Processing problems - See the excuses given at USCIS web site If you read it carefully, it's because there are a zillion new applications for Naturalization (Citizenship) from illegals and God knows what else. Filing receipt delays are going out to 3 months. The USCIS employs about 200,000 people, so don't expect a mere 1,500 new employees who have yet to be trained to improve things soon. If you're waiting and waiting for responses, just hang in there. Some day you will receive it. Lawyers and politicians are getting a windfall off this mess. If you're intending to file a case on your own... God help you!

11-19-07 - We will be out of town for Thanksgiving - From Tuesday (11th) until Sunday (25th.) Will try to get some emails answered late Sunday. Meanwhile -We wish you all a Very Enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend.

10-07-07 - Filing Receipt Delays & other USCIS messes - See a series of "Faqs" on the USCIS web site to see their pathetic excuses. Nothing can push these people... they own the government. Homeland Security is becoming Homeland International Plot.... HIP.

08-30-07 - Processing times - One of the most common questions these days is, "How long will it take?" The web forums that discussed ongoing processing time information have virtually disappeared. After 3 exhaustive days in searching for this kind of info, I have given up!! NOBODY'S TALKING. So I have to go by our ongoing experience, feedback from clients, and my inside contacts (who are being kept in the dark as everyone else). There has to be a reason for this cover-up. Why are things taking so long, especially after USCIS got their Fee Hike? More on this here.......

08-30-07 - Site Changes - We are finally past phase II, and taking a break for feedback on readability and speed of accessing needed info.

08-02-07 - Site Changes - In an ongoing effort to make it easier for users to gather more information quickly, we are going through a 3 phase change in our web site. The effects will be the result of user interests, ease of use, regulation changes and technological advances that should benefit all. As we replace pages as we go along, you will see decor incompatibilities but that will not change the content. The razzle dazzle multi-colored pages will eventually disappear, one by one to be replaced with easier on the eye context. In the last phase you will find some mind blowing characteristics that will make it much easier for you to find precisely what you are looking for.

Our fees have also increased due to the extensive changes in recent laws (immigration), which dramatically increases our work load. Many lawyers do not seem to pay much attention to this as reflected by statements on their web site. BUT.... this does affect YOU. Therefore us at Apex.

Feb. 11, 2006 - Bush NOT responsible for IMBRA - The House bill was voice voted Yeas by 96%. Even whether or not Bush signed it, he was out voted anyway. It was tagged onto H.R. 3402, the "Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005" (VAWA) at the last minute. Easily near 80% of the Congressional voters, including Bush, didn't even know it was there!

The Culprits - Democrat Senator Maria Cantwell (well known feminist activist) and Democrat Congressman Rick Larsen, both from Washington State, tried to outlaw international marriages in 2003 and failed. In 2005 they peddled and pandered for IMBRA - International Marriage Brokers Regulation Act - and couldn't muster any interest. So with the help of a few ultra leftist fellow travelers like Democrat Congressman John Conyers of Michigan and liberal Republican Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, quietly slipped it into the VAWA which went unnoticed since it would take a month to read the whole VAWA 2005 act. It wasn't seen or read or even heard of by most congressional voters. Often in the news you see a lone congressman giving a speech in an empty chamber to get written up in the Congressional Record as did Conyers. It doesn't mean anyone but those watching on TV heard this speech of Conyers'.

See Attorney Gary Bala's comments, one of the few immigration attorneys I have high regard for. I've heard so many bad things about immigration attorneys from clients and prospective clients. I could give you a list a foot long. But NEVER heard anything bad about Gary who I do not even know. - - G. Gannon
