Poverty Guidelines for 2011

The Immigration Affidavit of Support, requires you have a minimum income of the Poverty Guideline levels shown below for K1 visas, K3 visa, CR-1 Relative visas and/or Change of Status. This they say, is to prevent your fiance(e) or spouse from becoming a "public charge."

Note - After publication in the Federal Register, the law becomes effective 60 days after said publication!


Note: Active military qualifies at 100% while all others must qualify for 125% for either affidavit of support.
